1. Audi A6 Avant e-tron:



The A6 Avant e-tron is a stylish and luxurious concept car from Audi. This electric vehicle features a dual-motor all-wheel drive powertrain with 350kW of power and 800Nm of torque and 100kWh battery with 800V technology and 270kW of charging capacity which give 300km of range in just 10 minutes. Its interior is not revealed but the Avant's exterior has a gently sloping roofline and a crisp rear with a prominent spoiler. Audi has not officially confirmed the A6 Avant e-tron for production but surely this is one of the coolest concept cars of 2022.


2. Lincoln Model L100



The Lincoln Model L100 Concept is the most impressive concept car of 2022, featuring a sleek and aerodynamic body with large doors and a driver-centric cabin that can transform into a living room. It runs on electric power and showcases the company's vision for the future.


3. BMW iX Flow



The BMW iX Flow SUV is one of the coolest concept cars of 2022 thanks to its unique and innovative technology. This car features an E Ink exterior finish that can change color on command. This color-changing ability is based on electrophoretic technology which uses microcapsules filled with white and black pigments to form different shades. The exterior of the car can be personalized to your liking and can even be used to increase efficiency. When it's hot a pale exterior finish will absorb less heat, keeping the car cooler. In winter a dark finish can hold more heat and reduce the load on battery-sapping heaters. BMW says that the integration of digital experiences into the car body is just the beginning and the iX Flow represents the future of car design.


4. Polestar O2



Polestar O2 concept is a stylish and futuristic electric vehicle that features a hardtop convertible body style and sustainable design elements. With a glass and metal roof that folds into the boot the O2 offers a 2+2 seating layout and a 15-inch portrait touchscreen and a built-in drone. The car is made of a thermoplastic mono-material and recycled polyester which make it easier to recycle at the end of its life. It comes with a Hoco Flow drone that can follow the car and film it while in action or atmospheric mode. Though details on the drivetrain and performance have not been released this concept is set to debut in 2024 on a modified version of the platform being developed for the Polestar 5. With its innovative design and eco-friendly features the Polestar O2 is a top contender for the coolest concept cars list.


5. Citroen Oli



The Citroen Oli concept is a modern electric vehicle with a unique minimalist interior. With a near vertical windscreen, front bumper, and unique shapes, the Oli showcases Citroen's "vertical design language." The car is described as a "Ute" with a fold-down tailgate and glass panel that slides upwards. The rear seats can be folded down to expand cargo space. According to the CEO the goal is to resist the trend towards larger and heavier vehicles by making cars lighter and more cost-effective. The Oli features a smartphone dock, removable Bluetooth speakers, a recycled cardboard roof and lightweight seats. The car is fitted with a 40kWh battery and has a driving range of 400km. It also has vehicle-to-grid technology and built-in electrical sockets. The Oli is 4.2m long, 1.65m tall, and 1.9m wide.


6. Dacia Manifesto



The Dacia Manifesto concept car is a futuristic 4x4 designed for outdoor pursuits. The concept is designed without doors, windows or a windscreen for a closer connection to nature. With a body built to withstand tough terrain the interior is fitted with natural materials like cork and has "Bring-Your-Own-Device" integration. The concept has a removable battery that can supply power through a household outlet. The airless tires are puncture-proof and the plastic body parts contain recycled material. A few of these innovations will be used on future Dacia models.


7. Genesis X Convertible



Genesis has added a stunning convertible to its trio of X electric vehicle concepts showcasing its sleek and sophisticated design. The X Convertible features a folding hardtop roof with transparent moon roofs above the front seats making it a unique addition to the dwindling number of metal hardtop convertibles. The exterior boasts traditional grand tourer proportions with the brand's signature Parabolic Line arches and muscular wheel blisters. The illuminated crest grille connects with the bi-level headlights while the interior showcases the unique Giwa Navy and Dancheong Orange shades and a textured, woven pad graphic.


8. Hyundai's N Vision 74



Hyundai's N Vision 74 concept car was recently revealed at the Busan motor show and has wowed the world with its hydrogen technology tailored for high performance sport vehicles. The car has a striking design based on Hyundai's original Pony Coupe design and is longer than a Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The N Vision 74 is powered by a 62.4 kWh battery, two 4.2kg hydrogen tanks, and two electric motors producing 235 kW each. The total system output is over 500 kW of power and 900 Nm of torque. Hyundai claims it can travel over 600 km on a

single charge/hydrogen fill and is capable of 800V charging.


9. Honda e:N2



Next on the list of the top 10 coolest concept are the Honda e:N2. This electric vehicle concept from Honda has been referred to as both an SUV and a "new genre" vehicle, and bears a close resemblance to other concepts revealed late last year. The e:N2 features angular daytime running lights, sharp fenders, crisp sides and almost tail-fin-like lighting at the rear. The inside of the e:N2 is also unique with the center screen hidden and appearing to peek through the dashboard. Technical details are scarce at the moment but the e:N2 will use the e:N Architecture F, which has been designed to achieve unique driving pleasure. Although no specifics have been announced yet but Honda plans to introduce the e:N2 and other e:N concepts within the next five years.


10. Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX



The Mercedes-Benz Vision EQXX is a concept car with an interior trimmed in plant-based materials and a large ultra-high-definition screen. The car is highly efficient with a 100kWh battery that traveled 1008km from Germany to France and another 1202km from Stuttgart to Silverstone without stopping to recharge. The car is more compact than it appears, with a 2800mm wheelbase and a battery that has an energy density of 198Wh/kg. It is powered by a 150kW e-motor and is 95% efficient. The technologies used in the Vision EQXX are all production feasible according to Mercedes-Benz board member and CTO Markus Schäfer.
