Which one is brighter?

Will an H4 bulb fit an H7 socket?

The simple answer is no, you can't use them interchangeably because they have different designs. The H4 bulb has two filaments one for high beam and one for low beam and it has three pins on its base. But the H7 bulb has only one filament for low beam and relies on a separate bulb for high beam and it has only two pins on its base.
