AGS HID Globes are made from UV-quartz glass which is stronger than hard glass and highly resistant to temperature extremes and vibrations, which eliminates the risk of explosion. The filament in the quartz-glass lamps can reach up to 2650ºC and the glass can handle 800ºC they can withstand severe thermal shock.
